Our Opinion... boasting one of the best beach locations on Mahé Island, this large resort-type hotel is ideally suited to those wishing to have the choice between total relaxation and enjoyment of the many activities this hotel has to offer to couples and families alike. The Beau Vallon Bay hotel was one of the first to be constructed in the Seychelles and this is reflected in the general ambience of its infrastructure.

Gazing out to North and Silhouette Island, the Beau Vallon Bay Hotel lies just yards from the beach it is named after. With good swimming conditions and a slight gradient out to sea, soft sand underfoot, the area is enticing and encouraging for all to enjoy. At each end of the beach there are reef and rock formations, ideal for the snorkelling enthusiast.

Accommodation is generally regarded as of a 2/3 star standard, the hotel offering Standard & Superior rooms within the main building on 3 levels, plus the deluxe chalets located within the tropical gardens.

The swimming pool and adjacent childrens pool are overlooked by the beach restaurant and bar. Snacks, grills, pizzas, special childrens meals and refreshments are served all day.

The grounds offer the ideal location to watch the breathtaking sunset, the sun slowly disappearing behind distant islands. The main restaurant offers a selection of buffet-style breakfasts and evening dinners.

There is also a Teppanyaki speciality bar available in the evenings, offering the traditional art of Japanese grilled cooking. Le Canton, a Chinese restaurant, serves a delicious range of oriental cuisine in an authentic, relaxed atmosphere.

Post-dinner, there is an opportunity to listen to the evening entertainment, usually a local band or a dance show, or even to try your hand in the elegant casino.

From the hotel, it is very easy to walk to neighbouring hotels, restaurants, shops and the local bus stop (it takes approximately ten minutes to bus into Victoria town centre, and costs approximately thirty pence), thus ensuring flexibility and the opportunity to experience the local way of life and the other beautiful aspects of this lovely island.

There is a professional PADI and NAUI dive centre on-site, which offers an exciting range of dives to suit both the novice and the experienced diver.
