Within the magnificent Malaria Free, Madikwe Game Reserve, Makanyane Safari Lodge lies hidden in lush riverside forest offering spectacular views over the Marico River. Unfenced and constructed in natural stone, wood and thatch, the lodge has been carefully designed to blend effortlessly with the surrounding bush, causing
minimum impact on the environment.

The spectacular glass fronted suites, with their uninterrupted views over the river, flawlessly compliment the untamed surroundings. Understated luxury prevails, with rich African textures, open fires and a free-standing bathtub which sits exposed to the river when the glass doors are folded back.

Outside a beautiful boma style openfronted lounge lavishly sprawls along the private viewing deck finally reaching a stone layered outside-shower.

Madikwe Game Reserve is home to the Big Five and over 360 bird species, affording excellent drives and interesting walks. The Lodge also has a unique lookout platform nearby, where guests can relax with a drink and view the spectacular vistas over the vast plains.

There is also a private sleep-out hide, it overlooks a popular waterhole and allows guests to experience the wonderment of sleeping out under the glorious African stars.
